AMR Awareness Event

IMA Bangalore Branch organised an Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) Awareness Event on 24th November 2025, highlighting this year’s theme: “Act Now: Protect Our Present, Secure Our Future.” The session emphasised the urgent need for unified action against AMR, focusing on responsible antibiotic use, maintaining hygiene, restricting over-the-counter antibiotic sales, and preventing self-medication. The program was attended by President Dr. Bharath Raju G., Vice President Dr. Mahesh K. M., Treasurer Dr. Narasimha Murty N., EC Members, Senior Members Dr. Sunitha and Dr. Shwetha, faculty and students of BMCRI, and IMA members, all of whom contributed to reinforcing the collective commitment to fight AMR and safeguard patient safety.
